Some Recent Senior Projects
The Mechanical Engineering senior project at CSUS occupies both
semesters of the senior year. Working in groups, the students start by
identifying a need, do a complete design of a device to meet that need,
produce the necessary manufacturing drawings, fabricate the parts and
assemble the device, and then evaluate how well the device meets the
original design objectives. Often there is an off-campus customer; if
not, the students raise the necessary funds from grants and/or
